Confetti Cookies

I offered to make cookies for the local PTA’s bake sale.  It was another good opportunity to try a recipe from the Momofuku Milkbar Cookbook.  These are quite complicated for cookies, but most of Christina Tosi’s recipes are complicated, in my opinion. If you don’t have the cookbook here is a link to the recipe.

These overall were very good.  They are soft like a snickerdoodle cookie and very rich and buttery tasting. My 5-year old was not impressed however.

I’m not sure if making the Birthday Cake Crumb receipe and adding them to the batter is really necessary.  It’s an extra step and my “guess” is these would be good without it. I followed the recipe exactly but used pure vanilla extract instead of clear vanilla extract. Also, in the cookbook Christina explains that she uses bread flour for cookies but all recipes work with all-purpose flour which is what I used.
